Digital Innovations Disrupting Medical Diagnostics Value Chain

DIGI-B-CUBE project, funded under the European Union´s Horizon 2020 Programme, aims to unlock the cross-sectoral collaborative potential of SMEs by combining novel Digital Technologies with the Bioimaging-Biosensing-Biobanking industries. The project will support development and delivery of new market sensitive disruptive technologies and key digital innovations to reconfigure patient-centred diagnostics towards a Health Economy 4.0.

up to € 60,000

DIGI-B-CUBE will foster the development of customized solutions and prototypes for the healthcare sector by providing innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the EU and Associated Countries with access to vouchers of up to € 60,000. Travel vouchers available from September 2019.

Join Matchmaking & Coaching Events

DIGI-B-CUBE encourages SMEs to take part in matchmaking events and face-to-face meetings to identify value chain issues, innovation barriers and digital solutions, thus, to find collaboration partners from the IT or Health sector and apply for funding for joint innovation projects that address value chain issues.

Innovation Services for Digital Transformation

DIGI-B-CUBE enables the successful digital transformation of SMEs through innovation services (e.g. digital maturity assessment tool, a knowledge repository) and follow-up coaching in order to successfully develop and scale-up digital innovation products and services.

DIGI-B-CUBE cross- sectoral workshop in Charleroi, Belgium

Organised by the Infopole cluster within the framework of the DIGI-B-CUBE project, the second cross-sectoral workshop was held on January 22nd, 2019 in Charleroi, Belgium. The event involving 16 participants (SMEs, RTOs, hospitals, clusters, and a non-profit health organisation) consisted of four main parts - presentation of participants; introduction of DIGIBCUBE and workshop methodology used; Mapping exercise of technological challenges and technological solutions of participants; 2 rounds of discussions at each table of participants on the innovation challenges and brainstorming on technological ideas, solutions, required and missing competences; and networking.

DIGI-B-CUBE cross- sectoral workshop in Badalona, Spain

The first cross-sectoral workshop was organised by Secpho (co-organizer: Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol) within the framework of the DIGI-B-CUBE project on December 4th, 2019 in Badalona, Spain. The event involving 23 participants (SMEs, RTOs, hospitals, and 3 clusters) consisted of three main parts - presentation of participants, methodology used, and findings from previous events; presentation of innovation challenges (health sector – hospital) and technological solutions (IT sector – SMEs and RTOs); and networking.
